Move-in / move-out

Move-in and move-out cleaning: a reset, not maintenance

An empty place cleaned back to empty, from cabinet doors to switch plates, for the people who hand rooms over and the people who receive them.

Chapter 01

What gets looked at on handover day

Reset, not maintenance. A routine clean keeps a lived-in home where it is. A move-out or move-in clean takes the whole place back to empty and clean, so it goes where the last occupant stopped looking: inside the microwave, the cabinet doors and handles, the switch plates, the baseboards, the edges of the bathroom.

Daniel Bowlby had lived in his apartment for seven years, since it was brand new. Evonne and Christina cleaned it for his move, and he wrote, "Well it looks like it is brand new again!!"

That is the standard the team works to, and it is the reason a handover clean is quoted by its own measure and not by the length of a regular visit.

Square footage first, then the reset in order

The office evaluates the square footage and layout first, so the estimate matches the place and the team arrives with the right time for it. Then the clean runs room by room.

In the kitchen: countertops, appliances including the dishwasher exterior, cabinet doors and handles washed by hand, sinks, fixtures and switch plates, the inside of the microwave, and floors. In the bathroom: mirrors, sinks, tubs, showers and toilets, mildew and buildup, switch plates and the edges.

In living areas and bedrooms the team does ceiling fans and vents, sills and door frames, baseboards and spot wall cleaning, light upholstery, and vacuums carpet or coordinates a separate carpet clean with you.

Chapter 03

Add-ons, and a free estimate before any of it

The inside of the oven and the inside of the refrigerator are the two add-ons most people ask about on a move. Interior windows, laundry or light organization, and bed-making can be added too. Realtors and landlords can ask for special handling for a listing or a turnover.

Nothing is priced on this page because every place is different. The estimate is free, there is no contract, and the office will tell you what is included before the team comes.

Moves are in the 4.9 from 350 Google reviews, named by the cleaners who did them.

Five kinds of handover

Who books a reset

If the carpet needs more than a vacuum, the team can coordinate carpet cleaning. For a place you are staying in, a deep clean is the lighter option. The service area covers Madison and the surrounding Dane County towns.

Landlords
